In the last season, Brimberg performed Senta Der fliegende Holländer for Oper Leipzig, the title role Elektra at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg cond. Gilbert, at the Edinburgh International Festival cond. Canellakis and for the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Brünnhilde Die Walküre for the Taiwan Philharmonic, a tour in Belgium and Spain singing Wagner with the Budapest Festival Orchestra cond. Fischer, and concerts in Lille and Paris with the ONL singing the Wesendonck Lieder cond. Chauhan.
Other recent highlights include: title roles Elektra and Turandot in Geneva; title role Turandot at the Teatro Regio Turin and the Semperoper Dresden; Brünnhilde Siegfried for Göteborg Opera; her first Isolde Tristan und Isolde in a new production for Oper Köln; Eva in Sebastian Fagerlund’s new opera Höstsonaten for Finnish National Opera; Katerina Ismailowa Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk for Oper Leipzig; Senta and Leonore Fidelio at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; Senta at Theater an der Wien Opéra National du Capitole de Toulouse, Oper Köln, Staatsoper Hamburg, Teatro Real Madrid and in concert with Minkowski (recorded by Naïve); Brünnhilde Die Walküre for Teatro Real Madrid and the Royal Swedish Opera; Brünnhilde and Elektra for Opéra National de Bordeaux; title role Salomé for Oper Köln (new Ted Huffman production), Teatro Verdi Trieste and Göteborg Opera; Elsa Lohengrin and Brünnhilde in the new Ring Cycle at La Monnaie; title role Tosca for Oper Köln, Göteborg Opera and Finnish National Opera; title role Aida for Malmö Opera. On the concert platform, she performed an evening of Wagner scenes at the Royal Albert Hall with the Philharmonia, recorded for The Rest is History.
Ingela Brimberg made her La Monnaie debut performing Valentine in a production of Les Huguenots that was conducted by Marc Minkowski and named the best production of year 2011 in Opernwelt, after which she debuted for Royal Swedish Opera as Ellen Orford Peter Grimes in during the spring of 2013. She also sang Konstanze Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Amelia Un ballo in Maschera and Donna Anna Don Giovanni with Folkoperan Stockholm, the title roles of Jenufa (NorrlandsOperan) and Katja Kabanova (Göteborg Opera), Elettra Idomeneo for the Opéra de Lyon and Göteborg Opera, Lady Macbeth in Verdi Macbeth for Toulon Opera, Elektra in a spectacular production by La Fura dels Baus in Umeå (European Capital of Culture), released on DVD (Unitel Classica) and the title role Manon Lescaut for the Danish National Opera. She has appeared in concert with the Orchestre National de Lille (Vier Letzte Lieder), Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Verbier Festival, Opéra de Rouen Normandie and Trondheim Symphony Orchestra.
